BACKGROUND
Council’s appointment as a Water Distribution and Sewerage Authority for the Roxby Downs Township arises as a result of Section 13 of the Roxby Downs (Indenture Ratification) Act 1982.
Roxby Water (a business unit of the Municipal Council of Roxby Downs) operates the supply of water and sewerage within the Roxby Downs township, pursuant to the Roxby Downs (Indenture Ratification) Act 1982 and Section 188 of the Local Government Act 1999.
Roxby Water also operates under the conditions of an Intermediate Water Retailer Licence issued by the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) pursuant to the Water Industry Act 2012.
Council Reviews all rates, fees and charges on a financial year basis as part of the Annual Business Plan & Budget. This document outlines considerations in the setting of these and water tariffs and charges effective from 1 July 2021. Water and Sewerage Services from 1 July 2021.
