New SA Planning Portal
As at 31 July 2020, all development applications must be lodged online electronically.
Online Applications through the ePlanning Portal
Along with the new planning system, a State-Wide ‘ePlanning portal’ has been rolled out. Development applications are no longer physically lodged with Council; you (or your builder) can now upload your application online anytime via computer, phone or tablet.
You can also track and monitor the progress of a development application, pay fees and receive information and requests from accredited planning and building officers.
The e-planning portal is South Australia’s planning hub for the community for planning information, mapping programs and checklists to help determine if a development requires approval.
The renewed planning system is underpinned by the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and introduces a range of new tools and a 24/7 digital ePlanning system that will allow South Australians quick and easy access.
