Recycling
Kerbside recycling (yellow bin) collection takes place each fortnight in Roxby Downs.
Whilst not a complete list, the following should assist with correct household recycling.
Permitted in the Yellow Bin:
- Paper and cardboard
- Clean aluminium foil (scrunched into, at least, a fist sized ball)
- Clean egg cartons
- Metal lids
- Pizza boxes (no food scraps)
- Milk and juice cartons (rinsed with lids off)
- Steel and aluminium cans (rinsed)
- Glass bottles and jars (rinsed with lids off)
- Hard plastics (if you scrunch it the plastic keeps its shape)
Not Permitted in the Yellow Bin:
- Nappies
- Crockery or glass
- Clothing or fabric
- Polystyrene
- Baby wipes
- Batteries
- Timber off-cuts
- Light globes
- Soft plastic (eg: glad wrap)
