Local Roads and Community Infrastructure - Project Concepts
The community were invited to provide feedback on project concepts that could be funded through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.Community consultation took place from Friday 10 July to 6pm Monday 20 July.
Council has submitted the funding application for the LRCI program.

Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget 2020/21
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1999, each Local Government Authority is required to develop an Annual Business Plan and Budget for each financial year.
Council released the Draft 2020/21 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget for a period of Community Consultation from 9am Monday 1 June 2020 to 6.30pm Monday 22 June 2020.
The draft Annual Business Plan outlines Council’s priorities and program of works for the next 12 months. It allocates funding for key projects and services, and shows how your rates are invested.

Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget 2019/20
The Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget outlines Council’s priorities and program of works for the next 12 months. It allocates funding for key projects and services, and shows how your rates are invested.
Council released its Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget 2019/20 for a period of community consultation from 8-29 April 2019. The consultation included a community information session and Facebook Live event where the community was able to provide feedback and/or ask questions about the document.
Council is currently considering all of the feedback to the document and making any required changes. The Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget will then be formally presented to the Department of Energy and Mining and BHP for approval as required under the Roxby Downs (Indenture Agreement) Act.
The final Annual Business Plan and Budget 2019/20 will be considered for adoption by Council at the 26 June Council meeting.

Draft Order Making Policy
In accordance with Section 259 of the Local Government Act 1999, (the Act) the Municipal Council of Roxby Downs invited written submissions from the community in relation to the Draft Order Making Policy. The consultation ran for a period of 3 weeks from 23 May to 14 June 2019.
The policy allows Council to
facilitate a safe and healthy environment, improve the amenity of the locality and is generally for the good governance of the district. Instead of using by-laws to regulate activity on private land, the Local Government Act 1999 provides councils with the power to make specified orders to target particular cases of local nuisance when they arise. Examples include:
-Unsightly condition of property
-Hazards on lands adjoining a public place
-Animals that may cause a nuisance or hazard (includes birds and insects)
-Inappropriate use of a vehicle.
No submissions were received and the Order Making Policy was adopted by Council at its meeting of 26 June 2019.

Mobile Food Vendor Permit Application
The applicant Bertice Clissold lodged a proposal to establish a Mobile Food Vending business to service Roxby Downs and Olympic Dam.
Pursuant to Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1999 and Council’s Consultation Policy feedback was sought from the community for a 3 week period from 29 May 2019 to 19 June 2019. A notice was published in the Roxby Chronicle on 29 May 2019 and on Council’s Facebook page and website. No submissions were received.
That Council, having considered the Mobile Food Vendor Permit application, approved a permit to Bertice Clissold trading as ‘Sweet As Gourmet Foods’ with conditions as noted in the minutes of the Council meeting of 26 June 2019.
November 2018
Proposed upgrade of the Hermit St playground.
The community was invited to provide submissions with regard to the upgrade of the Hermit St playground. An online survey was also conducted.
The consultation took place from Monday 5 November 9am to 6pm Monday 26 November 2018
A total of 78 people completed the survey. The survey aimed to capture the community's needs and desires with regard to the playground upgrade. The community was asked to respond to a number of questions including what elements are considered important when visiting a park/playground (eg: fencing, toilet facilities), how their children prefer to play, what respondents would most like to see in a nature play space and top play experiences.
A report is now being prepared for Council and the outcome will published in the minutes for the December 2018, ordinary Council meeting.

Sporting Ground Lease - Roxby Downs Riding Club Incorporated
The community was invited to provide submissions with regard to the review of the Sporting Ground Lease with the Roxby Downs Riding Club Inc.
The consultation took place from Wednesday 24 October to Tuesday 13 Novmber, 2018.
A report is now being prepared for Council and the outcome will published in the minutes for the December 2018, ordinary Council meeting.

The Design of a Multipurpose Pump Track
The community was invited to participate in a survey regarding design options, presented by The Trail Collective, for a Multipuprose Pump Track for Roxby Downs.
The consultation period took place from Wednesday 10 October to Wednesday 24 October 2018.
A report is now being prepared for Council and the outcome published on the Council website in December 2018.
This Consultation followed a Pump Track Community Survey which was undertaken from Monday 30 July to Wednesday 8 August, 2018. The July survey asked the community to provide input with regard to their preferences for particular pump track design elements, public facilities, landscaping eg: shaded areas and the like. 281 people responded to the first survey.

Curdimurka St Park Naming Proposal
The community was invited to participate in a survey regarding a proposal from The Rotary Club of Roxby District to consider naming the park on Curdimurka St - 'Rotary Park'.
The consultation period took place from Monday April 9 to Monday 30 April 2018.
A report is now being prepared for Council and will be released early June 2018.

Sporting Club Leases and Proposed Lease on Community Land
Several sporting club leases reached their 21 year tenure and were reviewed.
The public consultation period ran from 8 Nov to 29 November, 2017.

Meetings were held on 10 May 2017 and final submissions were received at a meeting on 7 June 2017.

Roxby Water Pricing Policy
The policy sets out the basis for determining the price of water supply and sewerage services provided by Roxby Water. Feedback closes on Wednesday 4 January 2017.

Richardson Place Minor Upgrade
The facelift is partly funded by the ‘Places for People’ Grant from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. The objective of the funding is to revitalise existing public spaces that contribute to the social, cultural and economic life of the community.

Proposed works include (but are not limited to):
- Minor landscaping and removal of dead trees
- Relocation of street lights and upgrade to LEDs
- Increase the number parking bays by approximately 10%
- Increase the number of disabled parking bays
- Repair damaged kerbing
- Additional seating and tables
- Installation of shade to complement existing tree canopy

Sport and Recreation Draft Masterplan
The Sport and Recreation Masterplan was extensively consulted on and brings together broad community ideas and feedback. The report focuses on what is needed to address Roxby's Sport and Recreation needs both now, in the immediate future and in the long term.
