Camping
Roxby Downs doesn't have any official free camping sites. Please speak to staff at the Visitor Information Centre regarding options for places this is permitted on the outskirts of town.
Andamooka has a low cost Caravan and Camping Ground, located just on the left as you come in to Andamooka from Roxby. Marked on the below map as camping. $4 per person per night unpowered or $12 per night per van for power, payment is by honour system with cash lodged in a collection box adjacent to the toilets and shower block. The facility offers fresh water, waste pump out, and an ablution block with hot showers, plus an undercover camp-kitchen/BBQ facility. Getting Here
Roxby Downs is roughly 560 km North of Adelaide - South Australia's Capital City.
Drive to Roxby Downs
Turn off of the Stuart highway at Pimba and bypass Woomera and follow Olympic Dam Road or from the Oodnadatta Track head down the Borefield Road (unsealed) and onto Olympic Way.
Fly to Roxby Downs
Alliance Airlines operates flights between Olympic Dam and Adelaide landing at Olympic Dam Airport (10 km's out of Roxby Downs) and only take 1 hour, 10 mins.
Long Vehicle Parking
Long vehicle parking is available just off of Richardson Place at the western end, behind the Roxby Downs Community Club. Please note this area is not for overnight camping.
Public Toilets
Public toilets are available at the centre of the main street - Richardson Place, at Lions Park next to the the long vehicle parking and at the Visitor Information Centre. Refer to town map below.

Outback Road Conditions can change very quickly, be sure to check the weather before you go and stay up to date with the latest track conditions.
