Community consultation is taking place from Friday 10 July to 6pm Monday 20 July to provide the community and other stakeholders the opportunity to submit feedback to Council regarding the three project concepts.
Project summaries are contained within the survey. If you have any questions please contact Roxby Council on (08) 8671 0010 or email@example.com
The Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program is a Government initiative in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. Roxby Council was formally advised of an offer from the Govenrment on 3 July 2020. The program will support local councils to deliver local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies.
Roxby Council has been allocated an opportunity for funding.
WHAT CAN THE GRANT FUNDING BE USED FOR?:
The Government has identified the types of projects for which the funding may be utilised. These include:
-The construction or maintenance of roads managed by local governments.
-Community infrastructure projects that involve the construction, maintenance and/or improvements to council-owned assets (including natural assets) that are generally accessible to the public.
The grant money cannot be used for administration type work, training, travel, planning studies, preparation of work schedules or related documentation, staff salaries or community/public art or covering retrospective costs.
The project must be new or additional to current projects.
Projects are required to be physically completed by 30 June 2021.
