Full time (76 hours a fortnight). 

Roxby Council is seeking a Maintenance Officer. A practical role responsible for asset program maintenance, building, equipment, and resource maintenance, and supporting the Essential Services and Assets team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Monitor and inspect Council-owned assets (buildings, furniture, equipment).
  • Provide timely responses to maintenance requests.
  • Assist with contractor management, procurement, and compliance.
  • Manage fleet servicing and monitor vehicle inspections.
  • Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call team (one week out of every seven weeks).

Key Requirements:

  • Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call team one week out of every seven weeks (A daily allowance is paid, as per Council’s On-call Policy).
  • Test and tag qualifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) essential.
  • Building and facility maintenance and construction.
  • Trade qualification or equal experience is desirable.
  • Experience in report writing is desirable.
  • Experience in project management and procurement is desirable.
  • South Australian drivers licence essential.
  • First Aid accreditation essential (or willingness to obtain).
  • CPR accreditation essential (or willingness to obtain).
  • Working with Children Check.
