Community Support Officer - part time
A rewarding opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and self-driven part time Community Support Officer to work with the Community Team.
- Assist in the organisation, implementation and promotion of projects, programs, events and activities.
- Support the Library Team to deliver library services to the community as required
- Assist in the operation and function of the Community Youth Centre as required
- Coordinate the Council’s Volunteer programs
Reporting to the Community Team Coordinator, the Community Support Officer role will involve a variety of tasks; working with a range of community members and stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have highly developed Microsoft Office skills and experience in using the Adobe suite. Excellent communication and customer service skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team and high level organisational skills will be important to the success of the role. A Senior First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain) and Department of Communities and Social Inclusions child related employment screening together with Child Safe Environments Training (or willingness to obtain) are vital.
