The Citizen of the Year Awards reward and recognise individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution to the community and/or given an outstanding service over a number of years over and above normal employment duties.
Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as; education, health, fund-raising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of a community. We are also looking for the quiet achievers in the community - people who are always helping out, contributing, playing their part but not necessarily in the public eye.
Citizen of the Year Award - To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen.
Young Citizen of the Year Award - To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen aged over 16 years and under 30 years of age on January 26, 2020.
Community Event of the Year Award - This is presented to the person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year. (2019)
Nominate someone who makes a real difference in our community and give them the opportunity to be rewarded and recognised for their important contribution.

Submit your nomination by 12pm Friday 22 November 2019 so that special person or event in our community can be recognised for outstanding effort. - nomination boxes at the Roxby Council Office on Richardson Place and the Roxbylink Community Library.
